Is there a unified dump where Video lectures for a particular year are stored? 11/10/2011 12:38:57 AM |

videos of a whole semester take up lotsa space, there's some on itunes u - and if your class has a distance ed section then you should have access 11/10/2011 1:01:04 AM |

Ok but no one has tried to collect them together someplace? Cause I sometimes miss this morning class i am registered for..but it doesn't have a distance ed section...so it's hard to follow at times if I miss. 11/10/2011 1:12:52 AM |

try going to class, this isn't UNC. and what ^^ said. do you know how much storage one would need to just "collect them together in one place"? he told you the two options, which ARE the two options. It's not like people aredownloading every NCSU lecture to their hard drive just because they can.] 11/10/2011 8:42:51 AM |

...and that sounds super against university policy. In general you aren't allowed to have tests from previous semesters without explicit permission what makes you think having a lecture of an entire semester would be permissible?
I'm Krallum and i approved this message. 11/10/2011 10:11:53 AM |

ok..I ask cause my prof himself vaguely recommended hunting for old videos if I missed a lecture.
One can't slip up at NC and miss a lecture cause he was up all night doing an assignment?? jeez... One thinks as one is... 11/10/2011 12:03:14 PM |

you can miss class all you want. what you can't do is act like it was unavoidable when it wasn't. 11/10/2011 2:51:32 PM |

My case may have been unavoidable..but would you be so inconsiderate to a person who got ill and had to miss classes?
There is a genuine need here, don't know why you guys are acting so stuck up. Anyhoo, am not gonna get any info here i suppose. 11/10/2011 5:21:29 PM |

If the professor said that, you should ask him where the videos are, not us. 11/13/2011 10:56:54 AM |

^Yea no shit.
The reason that there is no compiled video lecture dump is because usually it is up to the individual school as to the availability of posting classes, which ones will be lecture captured, what system to use etc. At UNC Med School I am one of the guys in charge of lecture capturing. Due to storage issues and the necessity to have equipment in the classroom, we only lecture capture certain classes. We have it in half a dozen rooms out of 40+ classrooms I handle, so obviously it is quite limited as to what can be captured, stored, and made available. Schools even at UNC handle it differently, or do not offer it at all. If you want to find out, email your professor and see if/when it is actually stored. 11/14/2011 10:59:39 AM |

if you connect with expandrive or winscp and browse where the class websites are hosted you can sometimes find things from old professors or things that aren't visible on the website 11/29/2011 7:24:31 PM |
