I can barely put my fingers to my phone here as my heart has ground to a screaming halt but that was the most disgustingly delicious thing I've eaten in a long time.

you're gonna get fatter just looking at this

nah dude that was definitely one big piece of chicken...i guess the pic doesn't do it justice but just imagine one huge deep-fried breast with egg and cheese on top between a doughy biscuit that's half butter

dear god what did i just do

That looks like it beats the hell out of Bojangle's attempt at this sandwich

oh and i meant multiple generations as in chicken / egg

and +1 for what appears to be cheddar on that thing

It's hard to beat a drunken chicken and cheddar biscuit, mashed potatoes with gravy, and mac&cheese at 2 am.

oh this thing slaughters bojangle's and chick-fil-a... not only in sheer mass but in flavor and gratuity and blatant disrespect for the human body

^True, the chicken biscuit is amazing, if a little expensive with egg and cheese.

The problem is that the rest of the place sucks. Everything about it was poorly planned out. Plenty of people warned them about their choice of location, the time they opened (at the beginning of summer, a historically cursed time to open a place on Hboro St), and what kind of traffic if any they would get to justify being open 24 hours.

It's no wonder that they dropped to extremely reduced hours and reported next to no revenue.

However they said recently that they're going to go back to 24-hours (they might have already). Guess we'll see how that goes for them.

my boycott is 2 fold:

1) they don't have the plate that I love at the original location- skin plate- which is one of the best drunk, soak up the booze meals out there. This is not a great reason to boycott Time Out, but in conjunction with point #2, it is icing on the cake

2) The owner made some disparaging remarks about "having" to open another business so close to NCSU's campus. He is a diehard UNC fan, and even if the comments were made in jest, they were enough to get me to continue to go to any of the many other late night eateries instead of support his establishment.

^The offenses go farther. The workers at the Hillsborough St. location are incredibly nasty--one of the reasons I haven't been back since they summer they opened is that out of the four people I went with, three of us had strands of hair in our LIDDED fountain drinks. That is fucking disgusting, and to see it three times in one sitting, even allowing the exception that it was intentional, is certainly worth complaint.

This thread inspired me to go get a chicken biscuit with egg and cheese from Time Out tonight.

They're a lot worse than when I was last there (last summer), probably because no one had been eating the food and it was just in a hot box. Workers still didn't give a shit, and went back to watching a Spanish soap opera as soon as they could get a receipt in our hands.

Chicken biscuit is still huge and melty, but it's also twice the price of the same thing from Bojangles, with not as much flavor (even if it is a lot meatier).

So meh. Don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.

Man I had a completely different experience...just one hispanic guy both cooking and operating the register around 3:30. He asked me what I wanted when I got in there and I told him I'd never been there and to give me a minute to look it over. He smiled and patiently waited, then I watched him prepare everything fresh (other than baking the biscuit of course). Nice as could be and that thing was a class above anything I've had from bojangles as far as explosive flavor. Was almost twice the price of a comparable bojo's biscuit but was almost twice the size. Given what you get, the price is not out of line IMO.

If I wasn't already calling my belt a liar I'd definitely go back but I can't justify doing that to myself more than once

I'm not trying to argue/counterpoint, more just happy that my first (and likely only) experience was a good one
