It happens all the time. You can't run on a trestle, you have to step from tie to tie. Amtraks come up on you faster than you expect. I got stuck in the middle once and had to book it when I felt the vibrations.

It happened in NC last year, kids were hanging around this trestle, site of a terrible 1891 passenger train wreck. The ghost train turned out to be a real one.
