took some nice pics of my daughter yesterday, and possible the best one of her smiling/face.

she wanted to see them, so i put the camera in view mode and gave it to her. received a phone call at the same time. started hearing some beeps, so i thought she was going through the pics. after a minute, i get the camera from her and see that the latest 5 or so pics are gone

how can i get them back?

thanks.

have you taken any other pictures yet? If not then any image recovery program should grab them in a few minutes.

download program > install program > insert memory card into reader > run program > wait > save files > teach kid not to use delete button.

The latest edition of recuva turned off their deep scan by default. It has a checkbox in the settings and warns "this might take longer / find stuff you deleted" or something. If you can't find what you're missing check that box and scan again.
