Headed out of Raleigh on I-40W. I'd rather leave early tomorrow morning rather than after 10pm tonight. What would be best traffic-wise?

I'm leaving for Charlotte before 3pm and plan on taking Hwy 64 to 49. Almost never any traffic backups going that way.

make sure you watch out in alamance county, basically from the 85-40 merge past durham to the split outside greensboro is where I always see the cops, mostly around burlington

I left Cary at 7:15 or so tonight to head West and didn't have any problems. Got off 40 just after the 85 pli in Greensboro.
