That white girl I had never heard of on that roast went way over the line with the Patrice diabetes jokes. I remember he called her an "evil bitch" at some point during her monologue.

Always loved him on Opie and Anthony, and his standup was unmatched by most of today's comedians.

the stroke was actually in october (before we left for our honeymoon, I know that for sure). They never gave out any updates about his condition, making me think he never really got any better from it- makes me wonder if he was on life support the whole time, and they just now decided to try to take him off of it.

he was definitely one of my favorite comedians, and loved him on O&A and all the roasts he was on (as well as all his round table shows he was on)

I think this was the case. Opie posted on his twitter that when Jim left the show abruptly this morning prior to the Gary Oldeman interview, it was because he got the phone call about Patrice. The fact that he wasn't completely shell-shocked when he came back on air leads me to believe they knew he had been in a coma. Ron Bennington also mentioned that he was in a coma on his show today.
