I think the work week should be reduced to 35 hours.

35-40 should pay time and a half
40+ double time

Get rid of overtime exempt status for low paid managers. Make minimum salary for overtime exempt way higher.

I'd much rather work alternating Fridays or just 5-8s.

4-10s isn't bad.

neither is 4-9s and 1-4.

not sure which i prefer; if you're busy and enjoy work then 4-10s is awesome... otherwise, 10 hrs is a long day. if you've got slow periods, the 4-9s seems to work out well.
