They interviewed whatever guy at the school organized the speaking series this morning. He said they knew protesters were planning this so they allowed them one minute to voice their opinion then escorted them out. Apparently this happened the other day in Winston-Salem when the guy made a speech there as well.

Completely irrelevant to the thread, but just to ^'s comment... Um, we as taxpayers are being forced to bail them out because they're "too big to fail." It doesn't matter if you are a customer or not.

And believe me I understand being pissed over this. I simply view that as a problem with govt. If consumers view a business to be "dirty" or just make a shitty product and they choose not to spend/invest their own money willingly on that company, the govt shouldnt pretend it knows best and then hand your money over to them anyway.

Companies and people "invest" tons of money into politicians bc it can be a great return on investment. Limiting the power of govt (I KNOW i have seen that somewhere) would go a long ways to correcting this. But both parties and businesses/organizations like the arrangement when they are in power. More money for politicians and favorable rulings for the businesses/organizations that screw over the people.

Finally got a chance to watch the youtube video. Stumpf really comes out looking good, which isn't saying much compared to the numbskulls he was up against. And the chant at the end - "Work for Banks until you die, this is why we occupy" - I thought the part of the occupy movement was based on the lack of employment opportunities. I guess some careers just aren't noble enough for them.
