Has anyone seen any mini ones around this year? I need them for some cupcakes I'm making Saturday. I looked in Walgreens when I was there the other day but they didn't have any.

They do! I've seen them at places like CVS and Walgreen's in the past.

I've seen them for cheaper than that though.

Quote :
"A candymaker in Indiana wanted to make a candy that would be a witness, so he made the Christmas Candy Cane. He incorporated several symbols for the birth, ministry and death of Jesus Christ.

He began with a stick of pure white, hard candy. White to symbolize the Virgin Birth and the sinless nature of Jesus, and "hard" to symbolize the Solid Rock ~ the foundation of the Church and the firmness of the promises of God.

The candymaker made the candy in the form of a "J" to represent the precious name of Jesus, who came to earth as our Savior. It could also represent the staff of the "Good Shepherd" with which He reaches down into the ditches of the world to lift out the fallen lambs, who like all sheep, have gone astray.

Thinking that the candy was somewhat plain, the candymaker stained it with red stripes. He used three small stripes to show the strips of the scourging Jesus received, by which we are healed. The large red stripe was for the blood shed by Christ on the cross, so that we could have the promise of eternal life.

Unfortunately, the candy has become known as the Candy Cane ~ a meaningless decoration seen at Christmas time. But ... the meaning is still there for those who have "eyes to see and ears to hear." "

Tried both those places. Also tried Harris Teeter, CVS, Dollar Tree, Walgreens, and Target. Maybe they only make a limited supply of mini ones and sell out early lol.

Dear Lord I:d have to make an absurd amount of cupcakes to justify spending $22 on candy canes hahaha.

in 2nd grade I OD'd on candy canes. Had about 10 of them at the 2nd grade Christmas party and threw up from all the sugar. Didn't eat a candy cane for years after that, and I still rarely have them.

^ Just use these (which you can find at Wal-Mart) unless you have to use the actual cane shape. These are amazing I hear!

I found some hersey's chocolate mint candy canes at Target. Those suckers are getting up high on the tree where no one else knows all the regular candy canes can be in easy reach of everyone else

Oh yeah, and of course I found mini candy canes at Target after I needed them. They were on a random ass end cap nowhere near the Christmas stuff or other displays of candy canes. GG, Target.
