same here, but i think the former would most likely lead to the latter, resulting in a doubly unpleasant death

and as for drowning being like sleep... i don't know how you sleep, but I normally don't feel intense burning in my lungs and throat while i'm snoozin

well, yes obviously drowning isn't pleasant, but eventually you calm down and go (if no one saves you)... like sleep kinda

more so than sharks ripping you into pieces

or a bear mauling your skull

or lions crunching your bones

I'd imagine burning is probably the most painful.

Drowning might be the most universally scary

and I'd say starving to death sounds like the most miserable.

huh, well I'm sure dismemberment would be less painful than burning. Tear the nerve in two versus slowly singe the entire nerve system from the outside in, starting at the tiniest nerve endings and working inward until your brain stops working. Not sure how.

The sharks versus the bear skull crushing is a hard one to call. I think head injuries in general are an easy way to go. Even if it's slow you're loosing grasp of reality.

That's a hard one. In a hunger strike you're hungry, then at some point you get comfortable again. But then maybe the real deprivation sets in at some later point. I think it would depend on if I was working in a concentration camp at the time or not.

oh and in this movie I once saw a guy tortured some girls, put one of them in a drum/barrel thing with acid (or something that made her "melt" but not die immediately) and let her mostly decompose. Once dead and sorta decomposed and after the other girl was tortured, he threw her in the drum (with her decomposing friend) and then he buried that drum underground. The 2nd girl was still alive as he was burying her, and she heard him putting the dirt on top of the drum. That hits on way too many things that would make dying suck for me, mentally and physically. Also, the girls met this guy on the internet, probably on tww.
