Let's say your significant other has a hot friend who is the same sex as him/her. We all know they do. Everyone does.

Let's say your significant other tells you that they're attracted to that friend, and that they want to sleep with that person.

Is your inclination to:

A) Be disgusted and tell them "No, under no circumstances. That's cheating."

B) Be opposed to it on the grounds that you would be jealous of your significant other for being able to sleep with the hot friend.

C) Be fine with it.

D) Be fine with it as long as you can participate or watch.

E) Comedy answer.

I'm pretty sure 99% of girls aren't going to be cool with their bf fucking another guy, even if they get to watch/particpate. with that being said, you should rephrase the question to "if your girlfriend wanted to sleep with one of her friends, is it your inclination to:"

If I was really serious about the relationship I wouldn't go for any of it, but then again I probably wouldn't ever get serious with a girl that was bi. If she was just a booty call then by all means, let them do what they want, and try to get in on it if possible, and as often as possible.

If my s.o. had a hot girl-friend that she wanted to sleep with, I'd be all for it. Especially if I could participate!

I mean is this a one time thing if so then I'd say go for it and if I can watch and/or participate even better. I think if it turned into a regular thing though I would not be a fan. Maybe like a once a year birthday thing or something sure.

but if you care about her a lot, your tune will change with the first moan you hear that's being prompted by someone else doing things.

I don't see how this is a question...unless you're in some kind of open, experimental relationship. In that case, you should probably set your own ground rules about this kind of thing.

For more traditional folks, cheating is cheating regardless of the other person's gender. You don't get a free gay sex pass, if that's what you're asking.

^^I was thinking more like the first person in the situation wouldn't be disgusted by the thought of the second and third people getting it on merely on the basis of their genders.

Dude, if he or she is asking for permission to have sex with someone else then it's like, you know, how do I say "goodbye" in cuban?

But, in all honesty, this is what sucks about committed relationships, you eventually long for something new.

You can be in a committed relationship without being strict monogamists but it's not for everyone. Every relationship has different boundaries.

I'm pretty sure the situation in the OP would never happen to me because I don't think I'd be dating a bisexual (I tried to phrase that not sounding prejudiced against bisexuals, but I think I failed.) But that fact aside, D. IMO, it's only cheating if you act without your partner's knowledge and permission.

[Edited on December 13, 2011 at 8:16 PM. Reason : that is, depending on who it is. My SO could have awful taste for all I know.]

It's because you are.

But seriously, I think the percentage of people who try this and keep their relationship going is pretty small, for whatever that's worth.

I truly have nothing against bisexuals. It's kind of like I used to be a vegetarian, but even then I couldn't see myself ever dating a vegetarian. Granted, these completely hypothetical statements are based on the bisexuals and vegetarians I have known, and the types of guys I enjoy dating. They aren't necessarily mutually exclusive, but I have seen no common threads.

This is one of those things you do not want to analyze to death beforehand.

Like rewrite the scenerio.

Significant other and you...or hell the three of you have a great time out drinking, end up in the same place, all fucking wasted, throw a hot tub in the picture....go there and post game. At this point you are all having a good time together, one thing leads to another.

Worst case you feel like WTF the next day when you replay and ask your SO for it never to happen again. (whatever)

Best case you look like this.
