So, we're going to have Dirty Santa at the office Christmas Dinner on Monday night. I haven't gotten anything yet. What's a good gift that people typically want that costs 15 to 20 dollars?

Oh yeah, no gift certificates.

Lottery Tickets
Shake Weight (Maybe not for an office party)

Kinda hard to do Dirty Santa at the office. I think the whole point is to get questionably raunchy gifts

Yeah, I thought of a bottle of liquor too. But too many people go that route.

Beer. An interesting variety with a theme, or some glasses (not pint, but pilsner etc.) and then the correct style for the glasses.

Alternately, if you have officemates who are at all geeky, something like a cheap radio control helicopter might be fun. Could be hard to get one for $20 though.

I don't really drink liquor often, what would be something good for less than 20 dollars?

it depends on the group.

I've done funny things like 3 bottles of Boone's Farm, a Shake Weight, anal beads...

but when I need to do something more serious, I get a gift card for $15-20 and wrap it up in bigger and bigger boxes so no one knows it's a gift card and I still get to be kind of funny

It's a rule. No gift cards.

Yeah, and I'm not getting anal beads... There are some real conservative people in the office whose panties would be wadded up like no other.

But liquor is ok. Any recommendations?

Dirty Santa is nothing sexual or disgusting. It's where you basically try to steal each other's gifts... There is an episode of the Office that did this.

Here are the rules:

if you're unsure of what dirty santa is.

I've also heard it referred to as Yankee Swap and White Elephant. Generally when I've heard it called Dirty Santa it involves more risque/gag gifts, but that doesn't always hold.

Made for TV gifts are always good. The HD glasses, the slap chop, shamwow, rotato peeler, snuggie etc

In our family someone did an apocalypse kit: mini bottles and a pack of cigarettes

I guess I will just hit up walmart tomorrow. If I don't find anything I'll get some decent beer or liquor on Monday before I go to dinner.

Places like Ross's that have all sorts of weird random cast off stuff are pretty fun to shop for Dirty Santa. Ice shot glass kit, nose hair trimmer , kitchen & bar gadgets, etc.

I got a NCSU snuggie for mine this year. I don't think I've ever been to one that didn't have at least one vibrator.

If you think enough of the people there have seen Billy Madison, you could do what I did this year...

a whole bunch of Snack Pack.

I bought a wireless notebook mouse as the gift (with a miniature receiver so it can stay in all of the time). It was stolen the maximum amount of times, so I think it was a success.

You could do a hangover kit. Go to the drugstore and get shit, and put it in a bucket (that they can also barf into).
