There are a crap load of those videos. I am actually surprised. Also, to add to the 'I hate people' nature of this thread, this was my mom's Facebook status update from last night:

Quote :
"C----- and I were standing in line waiting to be seated at red robin tonight when this couple walked in. The women read my "support the troops" sweatshirt and proceeded to tell me that her husband was in the army and if I really wanted to support the troops I could pay for their dinner and she wasn't kidding. I thought WTH and then I told her that my husband was in Afghanstan and that my son goes over in Feb so therefore she should pay for my dinner! Needless to say I DID NOT pay for their dinner nor did she offer to pay for mine."

"Strangers help after Cary boy in wheelchair robbed
Mar 25, 2012 11:54 a.m.

Online donors have rallied to help a 12-year-old Cary boy after a man stole of jar of money the boy had collected for his wheelchair basketball team.

Cary police Capt. Michael Peterson said that Nolan Turner, who uses a wheelchair, was selling bottled water along High Meadow Drive Thursday afternoon when a man came up to him. The man talked to the boy for a little bit, then grabbed his jar of money and ran off.

Officers found the jar nearby on Winners Circle, but all of the money - about $200 - that Nolan had collected was gone, Peterson said.

Nolan was raising money to send his wheelchair basketball team, the Raleigh Junior Thunder, to do a demonstration at Briarcliffe Elementary School, which he attends.

His family set up a website for people to donate to cover the cost of a demonstration by his wheelchair basketball team. By Sunday morning, more than 325 people had donated over $14,000 - far exceeding the goal of $1,000.

The family stated on the website that all of the extra money will go to BridgeIISports, the nonprofit that organizes his wheelchair basketball team.

Police are trying to identify the man who stole the money. He was described as black, in his early 20s, weighing around 160 pounds. He is bald and has a tattoo on the back of his left hand.

Anyone with information about his identity is asked to call Cary police at 919-469-4012 or Crime Stoppers at 919-226-2743."

The first few iterations of this article were kind of funny. They just said she was sleeping in a scooter and was later woken up in the back of the store. The truth makes it more sad.

Two charged in brutal attack on Tarboro toddler
Nov 20, 2012 6:41 p.m.

Tarboro, N.C.—A 2-year-old child beaten beyond recognition at a babysitter's house in Tarboro earlier this month was also sexually assaulted, authorities said Tuesday, after charging two people in the attack.

Cirilo Torido-Bastida, 41, of Macclesfield, faces two counts of first-degree forcible sex offense and one count of assault inflicting serious bodily injury. He was placed in the Edgecombe County jail Tuesday under a $855,000 secured bond.

Chelsey Elane Speight, 20, of Tarboro, was charged with accessory after the fact on all three counts and placed in the Edgecombe County jail under a $355,000 secured bond.

Investigators say Speight was watching two children for a friend the night of Nov. 3. When the mother returned, her 2-year-old had been savagely beaten but the other child was unharmed.

The mother said the injuries were so severe that she didn't even recognize her own child. She also said Speight told her a dog had attacked the child.

Speight, of 374 Northwoods Country Road, was initially arrested Nov. 4 and charged with felony child abuse and misdemeanor child abuse. She posted $1,500 bond and returned home.

But medical examinations confirmed the extent of injuries to the child, who has since been released from the hospital and is recovering at her grandmother's house, leading to the new charges against Speight.

Due to the nature of the crimes, the child and mother's name are being withheld by WRAL News.

No other information was released.

The relationship between Speight and Torido-Bastida was not disclosed.

Police say deaf man stabbed over sign language
Jan 11, 2013 5:14 p.m.

BURLINGTON, N.C.—Police in Burlington say a deaf man was stabbed several times after his sign language was mistaken for gang signs by another man.

Sgt. Mark Yancey said 45-year-old Terrance Ervin Daniels was using sign language with another deaf man. A third person saw them, thought they were flashing gang signs and stabbed Daniels several times with a kitchen knife. A neighbor saw the victim and called emergency personnel.

Daniels is in stable condition at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill after Wednesday's incident.

Police arrested 22-year Robert Jarell Neal and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and felony assault on a handicapped person. He's in the Alamance County jail on a $500,000 bond. It's not known if Neal has an attorney.

Man sought in grandparents' deaths in Wash. state
DOUG ESSER, Associated Press
Mar 11, 2013 9:27 p.m.

SEATTLE—Police are searching the Northwest for a man accused of killing his Seattle-area grandparents, who had just picked him up after his release from a Washington state prison, hosted a party in his honor and offered him a room in their home for the night.

Police say 26-year-old Michael "Chad" Boysen is considered extremely dangerous and has tried to obtain guns.

Boysen was released from prison Friday after serving several years for robbery. King County Sheriff John Urquhart says Boysen's grandparents -- an 82-year-old man and 80-year-old woman -- picked him up from prison and hosted a family "welcome home party" for him that night.

The couple was killed later Friday or early Saturday at their Renton home. Authorities believe Boysen also stole their car.
