If all* the current users stopped posting, the boards would become much more appealing to people who actually attend State.

This could actually lead to a good idea. You should have a section that is exclusively for current students. They can only post in that section, and they won't be run off by the bitter old folks here, and alum can only post in the other sections. A separate but equal kind of wolfwebbery, if you will.
