So yeah, getting into private trackers again and I cant for the life of me get my port forwarding to work to allow for any upload speed greater that 5kB.
I've got 30/5 TWC and the UBEE modem that goes along with it.
I've: run through the guide at http://www.portforward.com set a static IP set the ports to be forwarded in the setup for my router
Still it doesnt work. I'll buy you(whoever) a beer if you can help me get this working. 1/5/2012 4:59:45 PM |

make sure your windows xp/windows 7 firewall is turned off or didn't magically turn back on.
make sure under the security setup in your router "block anonymous internet requests" is UNCHECKED, filer multicast can be checked, filer internet NAT redirecton UNCHECKED.
Go to your utorrent, double check what port you are using. Double check that your local IP is what you say it is (192.168.1.XXX)
In your router, Apps&gaming tab, click on port forward range. Make sure utorrent settings are in there. My port is 53003, so 53003 to 53003, both protocol, your IP you have set to static, and make sure you check the little check box for ENABLE (I miss this all the time).
report back.

Alrighty -Win7 Firewall - Off
Router Settings -Block Anonymous Internet Request and Filter Internet NAT Redirection - These options do not seem to exist in the UBEE router/modem setup when I logged in to my gateway (192.168.0.1)
Router - Forwarding, my port is set to 55420 and that is currently marked as enabled with all of those settings.
Currently capping out at 2.2kB upload.
i have these options, multicast is the only one enabled atm:
WAN Blocking Ipsec PassThrough PPTP PassThrough Multicast Enable UPnP Enable DNS Relay

if it passes utorrent test as well (options -> setup guide, check network, run tests) then its your garbage private tracker website then.

Well hell. It seemed to pass that test as well. I wonder, is there a dummy torrent file somewhere that I can test my upload on? 1/5/2012 8:56:07 PM |

Why should the Windows Firewall be turned off, rather than having exceptions made in it? My firewall is still on and I can torrent just fine... 1/5/2012 9:56:27 PM |

are you encrypting the torrent traffic? your ISP could be throttling it if it's recognizing it 1/5/2012 10:11:29 PM |

I change my port a lot. I guess you could. I like to mix up my torrenting ports and habits. 1/5/2012 10:27:51 PM |

^^^^Make one with your BitTorrent client, upload the .torrent file to MultiUpload, and post that link ITT; then the rest of us can try to torrent that shit and see how well you seed. 1/5/2012 10:34:21 PM |

Late to the thread, but I'm currently pulling 1.6MB/sec with http://torrent.ubuntu.com:6969/file?info_hash=3MA%FD%B0dn_%7B%AE%16%C5%88%FD2%D2f%8C%E1%8B
Then I realized you were concerned with upload, but there wasn't really anyone downloading that particular iso. http://torrent.ubuntu.com:6969/
I'm running this test and will post results when they complete as it appears to take about 7 minutes. http://broadband.mpi-sws.org/transparency/bttest.php
-- I've heard of comcast definitely shaping their p2p traffic pretty much making an un-encrypted non-prox[ied] setup useless on the most popular of private trackers, but not TWC.
G'luck sir.

I just got a promo upgrade to my Time-Warner Cable service and got that Ubee router/modem combo; I just kept my old DD-WRT enabled 2.4GHz router connected, put it on the DMZ, and set the Ubee to use the 5GHz band so it wouldn't interfere with the router, but just in case I manually copied all of my port forwarding settings to the Ubee. 7/13/2013 4:20:48 PM |
