No idea if they say it out loud. But it's in every freaking email we get from HR or IT or headquarters. They also threw out "upgradation" at one point in the past.

A fairly large number of Confederates moved to Brazil after the Civil War, because it was pretty much the only country left where they could still get their slave on. They're called "Confederados." Possibly your southern Howdy came from this group.

I, too, use as per. Occasionally, anyway. And deletion shows up all the time in the IT world.

I would submit "revert", in the sense of "please do the needful and kindly revert".

Also whenever I hear "do the needful" it makes me think of some kind of dance. Like "do the twist" or "do the hustle".
