Anyone have any experience/suggestions?

This Zyxel piece of shit naturally shits the bed every 10 minutes and seriously interferes with my porn habit.

It is surprisingly hard to find a modem with DSLs but I can assure you they all suck dick.

I have never had a motorola modem that wasn't an epic piece of shit.

For what that's worth.

Usually to get a decent modem you have to get one with a built in router. I'm using a N300 and it's a billion times better than the one they sent me from Centurylink. It does top out at 20Mbit's downlink though - so if you have the 25Mbit service you'll need something else.

^yo we still need to do lunch next time you're down this way. There's like 5 new restaurants that are all very solid.

For sure. I can't remember if you're in Clinton or Fayetteville now though?

I'll be in and around Fuquay for a week or so in Feb.

Is an AT&T 2wire worth a damn? I've had one sitting in a box for about 3 years.

The power supplies were known for going bad, but other than that I suppose they were your run of the mill gateway/routers.

^^I had bad luck with the 2-wire units that had built in routers. Went through two or three of them before they switched me to a zyxel; and when it took a dump I went to the N300.

I think that the 2wire units have trouble when lots of ports get opened. When I ran FTP uploads from an IDE or downloaded lots of files (like from our security cameras) it brought it to it's knees. I'd have to work all day then reboot it before playing games or netflix at the end of the day.
