Raleigh, N.C. — Wake Technical Community College is on lockdown due to an armed intruder who was spotted on the main campus Tuesday morning.

Wake County sheriff's officials said they got a call about a man with a gun on school property just before 9 a.m.

No one is allowed to enter or leave the campus, and drivers are urged to avoid the area around 9101 Fayetteville Road.
