I was actually thinking about this today. Golden's are one of the best breeds but they could possibly be perfected with lack of shedding/allergies (yes, I know only certain crosses/generations are hypoallergenic) but they do look kind of stupid

cuteness can be hit or miss. OP posted a non-cute one. I personally like the ones with faces more golden retriever shaped than poodle shaped.

I would have one in a heartbeat though. they're super friendly dogs. my old neighbor had one

I know one. Good family dog, but you have to be really careful where you get them from. Breeding any two large dogs means you have the opportunity for hip and elbow problems. There are a lot of dumb people out there that think "hybrid vigor" means they don't have to care about genetic diseases.

^^but theyre smart and their coats are low shedding. So they mix them with cuter breeds that dont typically have those characteristics
