I'm thinking fly somewhere north so I can see some snow or fly somewhere to catch a concert/meal that I can't get in Raleigh

$400 isn't that much for a roundtrip. I'd go to Denver and go skiing or snowboarding. Or just go to Atlantic City to gamble or New York to eat.

Go to Austin for South by Southwest (SXSW). March 13-18. If you google it, ignore the ridiculous price tag. Nearly all shows are free it just depends if you like waiting in line or not. Definitely worth it.
