Our 6'-8" big men against their 7' tall big men has not been working too well the last few years.

UNC lives off points inside the arc. I doubt they get those against us.

They don't shoot threes at all. That's our main weakness defensively.

Defensively they are horrid.

They are hopelessly short and have zero depth.

I like NC State vs the spread. This has all the makings of a 30+ point game that might only be a 15 point spread.

Kendall Marshall finds his stroke and drops a career high 45 points as well as dishing 22 assists

Wood gets fouled on both his 3-point attempts and misses all 6 free throws

Tyler Harris makes a layup, our only basket, with less than a minute left in the game. David Thompson stands and claps for our only basket of the game, Roy immediately has him ejected from the RBC Center

The ACC kicks us out of the conference and invites ECU to take our place

UNC outplays NC State for most of the game shooting 51% to our 39% but free throws keep us in the game. The final foul total is 27-14 and Roy Williams gets ejected down 8 with 5minutes to go.

UNC hits their first three 3pointers of the game with under 2 minutes left to cut the lead to one with 45 seconds but a controversial intentional foul call on what seemed to be a soft kendall marshall reach puts UNC out for good.

We would be ahead of miami based on tiebreakers. We need virginia to lose twice more and the have games remaining against VT (who already beat them), UNC, and FSU (also Maryland but they just destroyed Maryland so they won't lose that one). I'd say 50:50.

After complaining about Hess's behavior at the FSU game I wonder how long it'll take the refs to punish NC State in this game.

Perhaps Gott will get a tech within the first 30 seconds. Maybe CJ Leslie gets 5 fouls within the first 10 minutes. Will UNC players will be allowed to hack without fear of foul calls (but really, how would anyone know the difference)?

Lorenzo brown is the key to this game. He has to not play like shit. Kendall Marshall is a piss poor defender and brown should be able to drive on him at will.

That said, I see no way we come close to winning.

Brown had to be aggressive for us to win the last game and he wasn't.

Leslie had to not try and make it a one-on-one game with Henson for us to win the last game and he didn't.

I'm gonna predict the end of this game:

We lead by 2 with a minute left. UNC ball.

UNC comes down and hits a 3. UNC by 1. State ball.

State comes down and goes inside to Leslie. He misses. UNC rebound.

We immediately foul. UNC hits both free throws. UNC by 3.

We bring the ball down, looking for Painter to hit the 3. He's guarded.

We look to De Thaey. He's guarded.

Halfway between the top of the key and the corner, Johnson finds an open Scott Wood.

8 seconds left.

Wood pump-fakes several times, with no one near him, and then buries a 3 with 1.2 seconds left. There is incidental contact on the shot.

Tie ball game.

Henson takes the ball from the referee to inbound it, but the whistle blows before play begins.

At half-court, an enraged Bobby Lutz has taken off his jacket and is dropping F-bombs left and right, directed at two of the referees. He is obviously upset at the no-call on Wood's game-tying 3.

Lutz gets T'd up.

Marshall hits the first of 2 free throws.

He misses the second.

UNC inbouds the ball directly under the basket and time expires.

2 and a half hours down I-85, Charlotte fans are smirking. They've seen this movie before.
