yeah i need to get cooling racks-i have none and it makes cooking candied bacon way easier

Wrong. We have "breakfast night" about twice a month. The wife (or I) makes(s) BWs, eggs, and maybe if we have any, bacon. And we use the honest-to-goodness REAL Maple syrup, not that crappy flavored and dyed "pancake syrup."

How do you gather it's a tiny ass kitchen from the picture of a corner of the kitchen? It's not tiny, but it is too small for me. And, considering the house we are renting is a 6-bedroom house, they totally screwed up the size the kitchen.

Yeah...whoops...took the picture right after I used that last of the other one to clean up.

I used the recipe here (http://www.thehungrymouse.com/2010/03/25/homemade-sandwich-bread/) and used 3 cups of King Arthur Bread Flour, 2 cups of King Arthur Unbleached White Whole Wheat Flour, and 1/2 cup of mashed potato flakes. And, in today's recipe, I had to use light brown sugar to activate the yeast because we ran out of regular Raw sugar.

Well i was kind of trolling the fact that you posted the thumbnail- but as for how i knew your kitchen was actually too small- how close you got all that shit jammed together. Looks like my kitchen right now. Kitchen at the last place i lived shit was spread out like constellations

I will never buy loaf bread from a store again.

I had my first sammich with the bread from my OP.

I tasted awesome!

Now all I need to get is some good loaf pans.

activating yeast gets a solid meh from me. but, I also make my dough in the bread machine sometimes.



3 variations on the same recipe. maple walnut wheat bran in the back, a classic boule and the cut one is olive, rosemary and olive oil.

My base recipe was the Artisan bread in 5 mins a day recipe, but I cut the salt by 1/2 or 2/3 because the original recipe is salty

I'm workin from home so I guess I should try to bake some bread too. I'm on a quest for the perfect italian loaf. I only have KAF whole wheat and some "regular" flour though. And rye. oh well, that's what gluten is for...
