I'm going by now, not 2016. I don't think he's "more electable" now. Maybe in 2016. Of course, in my opinion, the only reason why Ron Paul is still running now is so he can set up his son for a spot in the national spotlight, so that he can be in the voters mind in 2016 (as opposed to the warm-fuzzies he gives libertarians who think he's trying to "reshape" the Republican Party).

The two party establishment will respond more from outside force than from within. As long as you complain and still toe the line, they're not changing.

I'm not advocating violent revolution. Just stop thinking you can transform a corrupt system from within.

If more people left the two party system, then the parties would be more willing to compromise with their vanishing bases, or else they would lose power. You, of all people, a man who preaches decentralization of power, should be able to grasp this concept better than anyone else.

I know you know that systemic change cannot come from within the established framework. How could it if that same system is rotten to the core?

So my advice? Stop supporting candidates, and start supporting causes. Don't donate to politicians. Your money would be better spent going to the ACLU (or whatever group you prefer).

Seriously, if voting could actually bring about systemic change, it would be illegal.

Personally, and I'm sure some feel differently, a majority of Rand Paul's remarks in regard to coal mining are a huge turnoff. 2016 is a long way off though.
