They keep alternating between the 2. If you're going to move to a new layout, keep it, so I can get used to it.

But I like the old layout better. Makes more sense for how your eyes scan the page.

I like the general idea of the layout, but there's too much white space/white space is used incorrectly, IMO. Don't need clutter, but something to better define the page, stories, links, etc. Looks like a website from 1994 with a better font.

It is funny that the use of tablets and smartphones have forced the change of desktop websites. I've noticed some other websites that are changing as well. No doubt it works better on mobile devices though.
