So over the past month or sor I've been getting so many calls that seem to be coming from NCSU. It's insane. I'm used to a couple calls during donation time, but I'm amazed at the number of calls this year. It's even more frustrating that they are on my cell phone. Sometimes I answer and no one says anything. These are all in the 919 area code

I got lots of calls from NCSU, until I told them "just send me the form in the mail, and if I can, I'll fill it out."

Got the form, neglected it, and haven't gotten any more phone calls.

I have the opposite problem, I get unwanted calls TO my ncsu number. Random calls, and since I'm a grad student no one else calls me. So I just unplug the phone most of the time.

I was getting a 515- call for awhile. It happened to be at the same time that I was organizing an event with a department at NCSU so I thought it was them but they never left a message and the one time I picked up it was dead air on the other end. Very strange.

I like the calls you get around football season asking for money

They always get a football player to record a message. For a long time I had saved a voicemail message from Audie Cole asking for money. Only because it was hilarious how bad a speaker he is/possibly illiterate.

512 is dorm numbers, nobody in a dorm has a 515 number that I'm aware of.

^I thought 513 was primarily offices; 515 for dorms and some departments (police?). never seen a 512. Of course, that was my understand from 8 years ago.

As far as I know 513 and 515 are offices and departments at random. 512 numbers are rarer these days because very few kids in the dorms elect to get a room phone. However NC State still has access to all 512, 513, and 515-XXXX numbers.

I get these every few days. Usually don't answer. Used to think it was the alumni association but I'm not so sure now.

515-0573 is a donation number - it was someone from CHASS. They only called a couple of times (only answered the last time) but once I said no, I'm too poor right now, they quit calling. I guess answering and telling them no will get them to stop calling?
