I just watched CNN the whole time and at first they reported the launch, then several minutes later they reported that South Korea confirmed the first part landed off its coast(as planned). A few minutes later, they confirmed that a 2nd part landed off the coast of Philippians (as planned) then a few minutes later, they say that the whole thing fell apart and failed shortly after launch?
Sounds fishy to me. Sounds like complete bullshit.
I'm sure you will chalk it up as live news getting shit wrong at first but I call bullshit. Let me see what NK says.

When I hear initial reports get taken back and replaced with something completely different there is obviously a problem.
How could South Korea and Philippines mistakenly report that a rocket chunk has landed off of their coast? Its not like there was another rocket that just happened to be splashing down. Its not like you could mistake a bird or whale as a rocket. You don't accidentally report things like that in TWO places.
After these initial reports, the coverup reports correct them by saying "oh no, it never worked, nevermind, the whole thing failed immediately. " and you people buy yet another insulting lie. 4/12/2012 7:30:50 PM

Because clearly, North Korean military/aerospace hardware is the benchmark that all other countries should be measured against. You do realize this is a nation that cannot fuel their airplanes for that many sorties a year, so their pilots have to go out to the runway and PRETEND TO BE AIRPLANES. 4/12/2012 7:36:28 PM

No. They state the first stage fell off of SK as planned and the 2nd stage also fell into the ocean as planned. Then when I was waiting to hear if the final stage made it to space they came in and said the the US military has reported the rocket broke apart and failed directly after launch. 4/12/2012 7:36:48 PM

I have not heard anywhere (yet, at least) that it failed immediately at/near launch. i've just heard that it broke up in flight.
___
Pentagon now reports that it broke up "within the atmosphere"; i.e., nothing was put into orbit. Now, it seems to me that this is all but obvious to begin with, as I'd think that there's not much reason for a rocket to break apart once it's out of the atmosphere, anyway.

well they just said on tv that it was one minute after launch. Kinda weird considering that they had confirmations that the first 10 minutes worked. If the rocket crashed near japan as they say, what was it that splashed down off the coast of the Philippines? Were they just seeing things? Did a UFO crash into the ocean around the same time? 4/12/2012 7:50:14 PM

...goes along with what I've been implying/stating all along--that both accounts are probably true. The first couple of stages probably dropped just like they were reported, and then it probably failed.

North Korea launches hundred-billion dollar rocket into sea. Forgets to plant rice.
Maybe now North Korea will go back to figuring how to finally catch that Road Runner!
Launching a rocket is a lot more complicated than rotting some cabbage and calling it a delicacy "Kimchi"
The comments are kind of funny on a few of the major news outlets pages.

lol when DPRK says something its propaganda. When the US says something, its fierce anti-american rhetoric to question it.
How can questioning something that has no evidence or proof be a conspiracy theory? 9/11 being an inside job is a conspiracy theory. Bin Laden being captured but o we dumped him in the water before anybody could confirm it is just too odd to not question.
One thing being reported and then denied with multiple conflicting stories a few minutes later is an obvious coverup. Theres no theory about it. Facts were reported and then completely contradictory story was reported by the government. 4/12/2012 11:33:24 PM

So we had three governments and three stories and then those quickly consolidated down to two stories and I'm not sure if Japan got the memo yet to change their official story to whatever DC fabricates.
Wikileaks (god bless them) provided proof that most of what our government says is full of shit but you people just keep drinking and unfortunately, you guys are the smart ones.
