I dont have gauges, but I have lots of odd ear piercings because I really like piercings and my one non ear piercing was a big failure, so I just continue to fill up my ears.

I have mine gauged to 1/2 inch. It's actually a little big for my taste and sometimes I switch between 00 .

I got it done because I thought they looked cool.
And they are the perfect size to me.


It's the same reason I shave my legs, have tattoos, have hipster glasses, and dye my hair dark and stay as pale as I can.
I find these things attractive.

It's just me.

Granted some of the people who do ear gauges, or get a tattoo on their neck, or whatever else have no intentions of getting a job in a workplace that cares about such things. But someone who does it and then doesn't understand why they can't get a job at Bank of America makes me laugh.

I don't get the whole argument of, "Well will you be glad you did it when you are 80?" for anything like tattoos or ear gauging or anything. Who gives a fuck? well that is why I thought a long time about both tattoos, and I got them to mark certain points in my life, if anything when I am 40,50,60,70 yrs old I will see them and smile

I get what you are saying about some of the really bad tattoos, but I consider them art and meaningful. I only have my ears pierced, so I am not big into piercing but that is easily undone anyways.

I stretched mine because I'm allergic to shitty metal earrings, and you can wear nice glass earrings with larger piercings. Mine are 8g (3mm) and no one even notices that they're stretched at all. I can also wear silicone eyelets that let me wear my old dangly earrings without my ears swelling and itching.
