Why can't we just buy liquor from grocery stores like every other state? Maybe I want to buy alcohol after 9pm on the weekends.

try living in PA, we can't even buy beer or wine in grocery stores*
*except at wegman's because they have a restaurant in the store 4/27/2012 10:47:30 AM

Maybe we should first focus on the problem of government infringing on personal liberty.
I mean, if you're going to go, go all out. 4/27/2012 10:52:01 AM

i mean monetary reform would get banks out of government which would allow us to discuss whatever the populace wanted not whatever the agenda of those with $$$ is

look if the plebes can get their hands on liquor whenever they want it they will be drunk and disorderly
they probably won't show up on time for their shift at the cotton mill and it might even make them strike
then we'd have to drop a dime or two on some Pinkertons to crack some skulls
so let's just let our old frat brothers in the government take care of business, kick back, have another mint julep, and grow fat like a tick on the sweat of the working man's brow 4/27/2012 12:29:51 PM

Other than utah being full of mormons, there doesn't seem to be a strong correlation with drunk drivers and laws:

your proposed petition is futile.

I for one like the ABC system....liquor stores in states without ABCs are always trashy for some reason. The regs keep them somewhat decent. 4/27/2012 2:30:33 PM

Personally I'd rather have happy hour DRINK specials instead of abolishing ABC stores. You know, if we're picking battles here. 4/27/2012 2:42:15 PM

See that is one thing I actually like about NC. The drink specials last all day.
I hate going to some places and for like 2-3 hours the booze is cheap and then the prices jump to $assrape. 4/27/2012 11:21:52 PM
