the mockingbirds out early in the morning like that are unpaired males looking for a girl. put some seed out to attract other birds & maybe he'll find somebody & shut up. that was one of the most common non-death solutions i read online when i had one outside my window at 2am for a week or so.

sometimes, but rocky mount is a bird sanctuary & it is illegal to kill any bird (unless it's a "pest" bird like a crow or pigeon, & then you have to have a permit). i like having birds in my yard, even if they're noisy, so i would opt not to shoot it anyway most likely.

ew. mockingbirds are a pest. one made a nest in my mailbox bush and would attack me whenever i went to get the mail. i destroyed the nest after the babies left.
