shanghai express has some dank lo mein and tsos, but they won't sub rice for lo mein, even by paying extra. the only way to get lo mein is to get it totally separately...i don't order them no moe because that's ridiculous

that place and golden dragon are both disgusting. I ate once freshman year and it sucked. Then i ate like 3-4 months ago at shanghai and it was disgusting.

also beansprout sucks.

The best general tso is from that chinese place next to Kroger in APEX, followed closely by AKARI EXPRESS but klatypus told me i shouldn't eat there because they jizz in the food or something

We got food there once and everything literally tasted like cardboard. As if they had left the vegetables in the cardboard box for too long so the vegetables absorbed the cardboard taste. It was really disgusting. For real Chinese in Cary I'll stick with Grand Asia, 35, or Taipei 101.

What was (is?) the name of the place on Hillsborough Street...I think it was near Monterrey or whatever the Mexican place was/is? Golden Dragon? I remember them having lo mein dirt cheap and it was good, too. Thenagain, I don't consider myself to be snobby with Chinese food.

He's talking about back in the day when the old lady and her semi-cute 20ish daughter owned the place. The "side" of lo mein was I think $1.50 (portion was as big as the pic above). It tasted fine. The best thing on the menu was their steamed vegi combo. 2.99, drink included. I think they sold it around 2002 or 2003. Place sucks now.
