Well, he is at least including the slatted base for the platform bed which is at least another $40-$50 from ikea. (IOW the bed plus the base he is selling are closer to $200 from the store when all is said and done)

The Malm bed retails for $149, that price includes the SKORVA midbeam, though it is packaged separately at IKEA.

Also included in what I am selling are the SULTAN LADE slats, which are plain flat pine (not the curved/bowed ones), and retail for $40 in queen size. If you haven't used this style of bed frame before, the slats perform the approximate function of a box-spring.

After tax, the entire package at IKEA is over $200.

If we lived in Raleigh I'd consider it. But we don't and we've been planning on the OPPDAL bed. I definitely like the look of the MALM for the price though.
