I have a friend of many years who knows how to get her kicks... But a few months back she was diagnosed with HPV, and went for treatments that didn't work. We're pretty tight and have been, but lately I've really turned off to being around her or even looking at her face.

In the past month, she's fucked four of five different dudes and one girl that I know of. I personally find it disgusting/reprehensible that she's willing to jeopardize other people's sexual health for her own desires. Especially in one night stand situations...

We were in Miami a few weeks ago at a nude beach, and she was laying around with her wart laden ass just blowing in the breeze for all the world to see. Its like she's in denial.. Yesterday, without addressing the real issue, she said to me "I've been really promiscuous lately. Should I feel bad about it."

Until now, I've never known her to willfully hurt other people. She's always been a good friend to everyone... In light of this most recent shit, I'm having second thoughts as to whether I want to be associated with her at all.

Anyone have experience with this variety of bullshit...

tldr- Friend has STD and continues fucking people as if she's clean. What to do?

If she's hot, I'll take my chances with a condom. Hook a brother up!

You can get HPV even with a condom. Say you're hittin' it Doggy Style and there's skin to skin contact between her ass and your pelvis, you can get them on your pelvis. I'd be doing you a dis-service, but if your tall and lanky with a big dick she'll prolly give you some. Bonus points for being unkempt and grungy...

Pro tip: WHENEVER you're with someone you gotta check out the goods before you go. If something doesn't look right, its probably not.

I was in a similar situation - friend had the herp and would sleep around without telling her partners. then she had sex with the best friend/roommate of the guy I was dating at the time. she didn't tell him, so I did. we got in to an argument about it and didn't speak for a while. now we're on speaking terms and I would call her an acquaintance. in the end, I'd say it was worth it - I don't need people like that in my life.

There's a TWW female that sleeps with dudes, gives them the herpaderp, and then convinces the guy that he transmitted a disease to her once he finds dick rot.

One of my friends (in before someone types friend in italics) says getting herpes is pretty much the best thing that has happened to him.

I'm Krallum and I approved this message.

Obligatory if you fuck someone who was sexually active in the past, good chance you have come into contact with HPV.

Yeah...everybody has HPV these days.

Mind your business and quit being jelly because your friend is getting some and you aren't.

"ALL ADVENTUROUS WOMEN DO"

Over 80% of sexually active (or have ever had sex at all) women carry HPV. Most strands of HPV will heal on their own without any physical symptoms. Most strands will never show any semblance of an actual wart. Most strands are harmless and undetectable in males. The most dangerous aspect of it is on the carrying female herself, not her sexual partners. It can be the cause of a number of uterine type cancers later in life. She will probably need bi-annual checkups for the rest of her life to keep it in check if it doesn't go away on its own.

Sounds to me like you are being a judgmental and shitty friend at a time when she seems to need a friend's advice the most.

My girlfriend got the HPV vaccine a couple years ago.

So she's clean...but I'm probably not.

the vaccine doesn't prevent against all HPV - only the most common and dangerous strands that could potentially turn into cervical cancer. there's 32+ strands in all. like mentioned above, most go away on their own.

and the vaccine is now given to boys as young as 12 to help minimize the risk of them carrying one of the strands.

per wikipedia:

Quote :
"The human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine prevents infection with certain species of human papillomavirus associated with the development of cervical cancer, genital warts, and some less common cancers.[1][2][3] Two HPV vaccines are currently on the market: Gardasil and Cervarix.[4]

Both vaccines protect against the two HPV types (HPV-16 and HPV-18) that cause 70% of cervical cancers, 80% of anal cancers, 60% of vaginal cancers, and 40% of vulvar cancers.[5] These HPV types also cause most HPV induced oral cancers, and some other rare genital cancers. Gardasil also protects against the two HPV types (HPV-6 and HPV-11) that cause 90% of genital warts.[2]

Both vaccines have been shown to prevent potentially precancerous lesions of the cervix. Gardasil has been shown to prevent potential precursors to anal,[6][7] vulvar,[8] vaginal,[8] and penile[6] cancers. HPV vaccines are expected to protect against HPV induced cancers of these areas as well as HPV induced oral cancers.[9]"

This. If you have an STD, at least have the courtesy to tell the people you're about to sleep with. Let them decide if they want to risk it or not. Otherwise you're just being a douchebag and who needs douchebag friends?

Just playing devils advocate here.

Most people that will f*** someone they just met (male or female) already have HPV. She would just be telling most of these dudes something they should have known anyway....

They probably all have it and are just trading the strains around at this point.

Although this is true, the warts that are sometimes associated with HPV are contagious.
