I aint got a problem with a steampunk setting. It can be pretty cool occasionally.

It's not really "punk" at all though. It's named poorly. They got the name from Cyberpunk (which is named well) but they really have zero in common.

i assumed that someone (a younger coworker perhaps) told the father that something about him was steampunk and he didnt get it so he had to ask his daughter only to realize much later that the comment was unflattering
