Eh. White strips do more, but they make my teeth super sensitive. 6/5/2012 12:58:28 AM

Sort of, but not enough to matter.
White strips work, but they're kind of uneven in that they don't get in the valley between teeth or wrap around to the teeth towards the back of your mouth.
You can get rubber molds made by your dentist to the shape of your teeth that can be used with whitening gel. The molds are expensive, but the gel refills are cheap. I'd imagine there is an easy DIY way to do this as well; just as football players mold their mouthguards to fit their mouth, but I've never looked into it. 6/5/2012 1:56:36 AM

My dentist recommended that I use Listerine Whitening pre-brush rinse since white strips only get the front half of your mouth.
That or swishing hydrogen peroxide once a week should be good for your mouth and teeth and inexpensive. 6/5/2012 4:11:42 AM

rembrandt deeply white worked pretty well for me, but only when i used both the toothpaste and the rinse, and followed the directions exactly. 6/5/2012 8:59:31 AM

Depends why your teeth are discolored in the first place. If it's just coffee/food stains go for it. 6/5/2012 9:04:58 AM

I started using this in college:

And for the next three years, people kept asking me if I had my teeth professionally whitened. Then I started drinking coffee on a daily basis, and the toothpaste didn't have as big an impact.
Now I use white strips. 6/5/2012 9:09:22 AM

3 of 11, your bleach drinking idea does not appeal to my sensibilities.
I don't want to do a treatment on my teeth because I am scurred of that sensitive feeling but I FUCKING LOVE BRUSHING MY TEETH!! it is definitely one of my favorite things to do! I just don't think this shit will work. I will try this Tom's brand that my aunt left here. We shall see.

Also, FUCK YOU jeepin. Putting people down for their inadequacies because of your perfect man-jaw and bone colored teeth. It must be hard to not know what it's like to be part of the gremlin squad. Asshole. ] 6/5/2012 11:19:57 AM

i use whitening strips once a year and arm and hammer baking soda/peroxide toothpaste on the reg and i think my teeth are nice and white
target recently had listerine mouthwash with whitening (peroxide) on closeout that i picked up and it seems to work well...i don't think they sell it anymore because it definitely takes some getting used to and the foaming from the peroxide leaves a strange residue in your mouth after spitting that doesn't go away until it evaporates (so a couple of minutes)...it works, though 6/5/2012 1:43:22 PM

I just read this on pinterest:
Quote : | "never buy white strips again!: dip q-tip in hydrogen peroxide (the key ingredient in whitestrips) and apply to surface of teeth for 30 sec before brushing teeth) once a day for a few days. Teeth will look whiter in 2 days.......worth a try???" |
I will try it. 6/5/2012 5:20:32 PM
