It's Tuesday and also a pretty much boring day for me. I was wondering what movie should be making it up to my bucket list. Share your list of bucket movies wolfpack, which could help me make a bucket list for myself

You should probably have higher aspirations for your bucket list than watching a few movies.
But welcome to TWW.

I would be interested to know what other people think are "must see" movies. Not necessarily the best movies, but movies that everyone should be familiar with. My boss told me last week that it's inexcusable that I haven't seen a single Tarantino film.

LoL. Yeah, I was just thinking of 'must watch' movies. But then I thought Bucket list would be a better way to say 'Movies to watch b4 u die '. And thanks BIGcementpon, it's good to be part of the wolfpack. Go Pack !

I think the point of this is to list cliche movies that people think you would want to see without regard to his own tastes. He's not asking for the best examples of award winning cinematography out there, he's asking for a list of movies he should be familiar with.

^^ yup. social context is underrated.

you don't want to be the guy who doesn't get a Tommy Boy reference that's slipped into a normal conversation.

if you need a bucket list to finally understand the fat guy in a little coat joke made by someone at a party then i think there are bigger issues at hand.

Well I just wanted to know what movies you might suggest to others, worth making it into the 'Must see before Die' list or 'Bucket List' what ever we can call it. And If had missed any movies in your list, I might watch it too.

For example, here is a list of 100 movies everyone should see. http://www.imdb.com/list/0_RhgM0AkVI/

I've only seen 8. That makes me feel like I'm a terrible movie watcher.

I am very surprised to see The Prestige at No. 11. I would have guessed that virtually all of the other top 50 would rank higher than that one. Was it even that popular?

Start with Trilogies/Series.

Star Wars, Empire, and Jedi
Lord of the Rings
Back to the Future
Indiana Jones 1-3
Superman 1 and 2
Die Hard 1-4
Rambo 1-4
Terminator 1 and 2
Alien 1-3
Godfather 1 and 2
Rocky 1-4, 6
"Fast Eddie" flicks (The Hustler and The Color of Money)
Dirty Harry 1-4
Iron Man 1 and 2, Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, and the Avengers
Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and Clerks 2 (you can skip Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back).

From there, check out directors Scorcese, Spielberg, Tarantino, Woody Allen, and Mel Brooks.

That should keep you busy for awhile.

why do people act like Godfather 3 was garbage just because it wasn't as good as the first two

hardly any movies ever were as good as the first two Godfather movies

Batman 89, Batman Returns, Batman Begins, and the Dark Knight all do belong on that list.

Same reason people act like Terminator Salvation was garbage just because it wasn't as good as the first two.

It's fine, but it's not at the same level as the first 2, so it's hardly a "must-see."

did you seriously just compare Terminator Salvation to The Godfather part 3? I get your point, but thats a horrible analogy

Godfather 3 is more of a must see than Lord of the Rings, Incredible Hulk, etc etc

^so we are just pretending Rise of The Machines doesn't exist?

Independence Day possesses all you are looking for in a movie. Action, Adventure, Romance, Mystery, Spaceships, Randy Quaid, dozens of now pop-culture references slipped into everyday conversation, and a spine tingling tear inducing monologue given by the second best fictional president of the united states.
