checkers is played on a chess board (unfortunately) by those who just graduated from tic tac toe.

no, you are wrong. This is definitely a checkers board. I designed it for optimal checkering in mind with no regard to the vastly inferior game of chess. (look at the red and black "pieces"... definitely checkers and not chess.)
