1. OMG! He is rich! Since when is that a crime? He earned it. Guess what else? The President is rich too! How did he earn his money?
2. Tax returns? Really? He released last year's and will release this year's when its complete. How many is enough? How many did Obama release? Where does it say he even has to release one? I think everyone in the Congress and Senate need to cough up some tax returns.

Romney should say he'll release more tax returns after Obama releases his Academic Transcripts, small dollar donor list, White House Guest list, and medical records. All of these have a precedent and were released by previous candidates. Additionally, Romney should request the Fast and Furious documents. President Obama used executive privilege to conceal thousands of documents related to that deadly scandal.

All of the above are far more important than the release of more Romney tax returns.

Other than the fact that his wealth turned him into cyborg who has no idea what it's like to be human, nobody gives a shit that he's rich.

What people give a shit about is the fact that he took advantage of the tax code to become even more rich, while he railed on poor families who take advantage of the tax code through the EITC which is usually used to provide for kids.

He rails against everyone else who ISN'T rich who tries to get a leg up by using a government statute, while he does the same thing to get out of paying taxes. If he releases more tax returns, it will make it more clear to the American people what a piece of shit this guy really is.

^^Sure they do, Earned income credit (wealth redistribution), they don't pay taxes and just think that refund is because the gov't is nice when in fact they over pay taxes and give the gov't a free loan.

I'm also tire of rich Libs demonizing other rich people and say they don't mind paying more taxes. Well guess what. they already can. Mitt manipulates his assets in such a way that he barely had to pay any taxes. That's taking advantage of the tax code. He was born with wealth, and makes sure the government doesn't take any of it. But if a person born poor asks for a tax credit so they can go to school to compete with one of Mitt's sons, that's wrong according to Mitt. Fuck that shit.

Earned income credit + over pay = big refund and net they didn't pay taxes. I've been there and done that. I have taken advantage of other credits for school that I was deemed entitled for because I earned too little. However, I later earned too much and lost those credits.
Its all a scheme to keep power over people and manipulate them. It has obviously worked on you because you think a rich man is evil.

My biggest concern with Romney is how extremely removed from the middle class he appears to be. (ten thousand dollar bet?!?! -mitt romney)

and by removed I mean, he must have been raised in a bubble, shipped off to harvard, and started his first entry level position at Merryl Lynch or something.

I don't think this guy has EVER even slummed it with the common people.. not even in college.

my best friends earn over 300k and both work in finance, but you wouldn't know it by talking to them.. because they were raised differently.. they played on the same playground, went to the same public school & state school, came from middle-class families, and now are the top earners in their family tree. yet on any given sunday, they will be throwing back beers with their friends from high school instead of golfing in the hamptons.

they live the same lifestyle that they have always lived (albeit, nicer places & cars) but they never developed the sort of pretentiousness that sometimes comes with an increased level of income.

There are rich & wealthy people whom are still relatively connected with the common person, and then there are rich, successful, & wealthy people whom couldn't be any further removed.

mitt romney is the latter. therefore i say fuck it.. give obama another 4 years.


if he could at least, just once.. hold one press conference and sound like someone I would hang out with.. i'd vote for him over obama..

I'm a Republican but really dont' like Romney. One little tidbit that especially pissed me off is his stance on higher education, saying that people should "have as much education as they can afford", which is bullshit coming from a Governor's son who attended top prep schools and got into Stanford regardless of his academic "merit". I'm sorry we're not all Governor's sons that get into the top schools in the nation based on that fact and don't have to worry about student loans or the prospect of being able to afford as much school as we can stomach.
