Think of it like this. A "Mt. Carolina" would have to be made in the NC mountains presumably. Whom is it that continues (albeit barely) to live in those mountains? That would be the Cherokee people. The very same people whom Jackson launched a crusade against to have them forcefully removed from their rightful land and dumped onto the vast wasteland of Oklahoma. Putting Jackson on such a monument would be utterly revolting!
