I pass by a Krispy Kreme every weekday to take a friend's son to camp. Many mornings the HOT light is on and it takes every ounce of self control that I have not to pull through the drive thru to get one.

The Hot n' Now sign for the one here in Fuquay is a little misleading. They don't actually make them there, they just run them under an icing machine.

They're still tastey, but not the same as the ones from Peace St when they're right off the fryer.

Yes. They're so fresh that they're still hot. Doughnuts are an entirely different experience when they're hot and fresh.
