Summer 2006. Went on a 10,000 mile road trip across the country. Gotta do laundry somewhere.

Summer of 2007 for me. Used to do it at the laundromat beside the Food Lion on Western. Once saw TOB pick up dry cleaning in his red Dodge Charger.

Do dorms count? If so, 2004. If not, never.

2008 sometime. In my apartment complex. We (wife and I) had our own washer and dryer but sometimes we just let the laundry pile up and it was easier to take it all to the laundromat and get it all done at once than just doing one load at a time for the entire weekend

Haven't ever been to a commercial laundromat. Moving soon into a building that does not have W/D in each unit though, so I'm going to have to get used to a communal laundry room again.

About 3 years back the washing machine in my rental was too small to wash my comforter. So I had to take that to a laundromat every few weeks. Was a PIA.

I don't have a washer dryer so I bring it to the laundromat and they do it for me. I haven't done my own laundry in 4 years.

A duvet cover would have solved this conundrum.

A couple of years ago I went to wash dog beds. I hate going because people will use four dryers for one load of clothes so there are always free washers but you have to wait for a fucking dryer...or take your stuff home and line dry it.

I learned that in general, not always, men don't know what a duvet cover is.

You still gotta wash your comforter at some point even when you use a duvet cover

This is how I live...it's not so bad because it's only a few doors down from my apartment, so I can run and check on my laundry. I just don't understand how people leave their shit for hours. I don't want anyone going thru my clothes so I'm always on time to grab my stuff out the washer or dryer.

That would weird me out, too. Whenever I would see someone's stuff hanging out in the dryer that had obviously been around for a long time it would make me think of that scene in Fight Club where the chick steals the clothes from the laundromat and sells them at the consignment store lol.

I always had a fantasy where I'd come back to my laundry to find a hot chick sniffing my underwear.

the closest thing I experienced was seeing a fat chick sniffing my boxers that had a pizza slice pattern on them.

Back when I worked at CupAJoe in Mission Valley, I'd have to take the towels every morning to the laundromat. It was always early in the morning around 7:00-7:30 so you never really knew what you were going to see there. One time, I found a bum sleeping across all the washing machines. And another time a girl was washing her clothes from the night before because either her or somebody else puked on them. That was ~2004.

That was around the time that I lived at Westgate Towers and used their laundry facility a few times. I had quite a few "unmentionables" stolen from the dryers there. Thats when I started driving to my parent's house to do my laundry

I don't expect it to be a huge deal, there are only 6 units in the building and the laundry room is in the basement. We're on the first floor so it's just down a flight of stairs. Will be annoying to have to keep quarters on hand though and it's only one washer and dryer for 9 people so it may get a bit competitive.

Just don't let them get in a bunch.
Apparently that's bad. People on the interwebs are always talking about it.

Never had to do that until we moved to this apartment in Carrboro. Had to choose between a 1 bath with w/d or 2 bath with no w/d hookup. We choose 2 bath instead, since it is 4 of us. So my washer and dryer are collecting dust in storage right now.
