I know you can donate plasma, takes about 45 minutes and you can get up to $55 on your first donation at telecris.


also wait at least 10 minutes before you stand up after donation, you run the risk of bleeding out and collapsing.

How crappy do you feel / for how long, after giving plasma? Donated blood before, but that's it for me. This is tempting...

it is like donating blood, just stay hydrated and eat, otherwise you might be dizzy, and don't lift heavy things for a few hours after.

Also you get to make a lot of homeless friends.


But I would call, they change their rates, sometimes they have special promotions and give away more money if you bring a friend. Sometimes they only give $35, I don't know how they figure the money.. so I would just call. Also in those giant coupon books that go around campus, they usually have a certificate that gives you a bonus $15.

You feel fine right away. You'll probably need to take it easy the first 24 hours after the donation but that's just a should not a need-to. Also 45-minutes is BS, it varies but I would allow for at least 20 extra minutes. Def. take some gum or mints with you, you may get a metallic taste in your mouth. Where I go (Rex, it's donation btw they don't buy it) they keep Tums on hand for that.

Also, you're can't take anything with ASA (asprin) within 48 hours of donating.

Then they're doing it wrong. I stand up right away and have never come close to either.

I've never sold it but I've heard that it's a creepy place to be. I highly recommend Rex, it's a nice place to go plus they do free-lunch Mondays and Fridays also they have a donate for life program where you can trade in points for gift cards and other stuff.
