I've never gotten the chic fil a obsession. Their chicken sandwiches are mediocre, and their food is overpriced for what it is.

I can get way better milkshakes for cheaper at Cookout, better chicken from bojangles, and better chicken sandwiches from zaxbys.

Being run by a religious zealot is the least of my reasons for not going to chik fil a.

Overpriced for what it is? It's a large full chicken breast sandwich for $2.79. Not even getting into taste comparisons, where can you get a similar sandwich cheaper?

Both McDonald's and KFC sell smaller and inferior chicfila ripoff sandwiches for $3 each.

It tastes better than every other fast food chicken sandwich besides arguably bojangles. Bojangles is a different style of fried chicken but overall I'd give chicfila the edge in chicken but Bo's the edge overall because of sides and breakfast.

What if the CEO of a fast food company decided they didn't like black people, or asians, or any other subset of the human race. Does the fact that they run a business entitle a CEO to tell franchise owners they can't hire blacks or asians? What other personal/cultural habits (besides those pertaining to hygiene) should a business be allowed to make official comments on just because they are privately run?

Fortunately, gays aren't yet a legally protected class, so nothing bad can happen from that respect.

I'm curious though, because on NCSU's campus, gays ARE a protected class by school policy, could this cause any problems for our chik fil a?

You really think a CEO that hates gays so much hasn't, even subtly, discriminated against gays in employment? It's no secret that chik fil a is conservative, you don't think this culture hasn't permeated?

And in NC, I don't think sexual orientation is a protected class at all, even for employment.

It's race, religion/creed,age, and gender, from what I recall, but nothing else.
