I'm scared of these things. Mostly because I think I'm getting more allergic to stuff. I definitely have progressively more severe reactions to fire ants and mosquito bites lately. Even no-see-ums at the beach this year. I haven't been stung by a wasp in many years, but I got stung by a yellow jacket as a kid when I was push-mowing. I don't want to repeat it, and I definitely don't want to have an anaphylactic reaction and die. I'm thinking of systematically removing flowering plants to minimize the attractiveness of my property for nesting.
