i have direct tv coming and it is past the 24 hour cancellation window. the porblem is i dont have my tv here yet as the movers got delayed by 4 hours which happens to be the same 4 hour window for my installtion.

do you think they can do the installation without a tv?

fuck i already have too many tvs. i dont see why they can't just set everything up and then i hook it up to the tv myself.

You're right- this is a stupid question.

either do what beatsunc said or risk it getting there a little late. they are going to have to set up the actual satellite and boxes and run the wires so that should buy you some time as well.

so i ask the installer guy and he was like "no problem, we have a tablet that allows us to setup the boxes because we know a lot of people get it as they move in. "

then about an hour after he got here he comes in like "i have some bad news...we have to have a tv to set it up and will have to come back sunday.

Now i get to miss the olympics.
