They've actually started using lesser quality tobacco and more filler in the past 3-4 years. Newport packs used to read "20 Class A Cigarettes" at the bottom of the pack. Now they read "20 Cigarettes" or something to that effect.

this is not true at all

Newports are made with the tobacco with the highest nicotine. The lower grade tobaccos are used in the lower price brands and blends and are also used in the production of cigarettes that are sold overseas.
