I don't know shit about anything medical, don't want to go to medical because they suck. Why am I getting headaches so often lately? Yesterday it was just the right side of my head, focused on the area behind my eye. Today it's the opposite. What causes it and how do I fix it?

Are you stressed, tired, or do you have sinus pressure?

I'm stressed and this doesn't feel like a sinus headache. A little tired just because I got up early

tried anything for it? acetaminophen and/or ibuprofen? more or less caffeine? any photophobia or anything associated with it?

probably migraines or stress related...but i'd just go ahead and order a shit ton of labs, a $500 head CT, $5000 MRI and a $4000 EEG as well as refer to neurology for an extensive workup including sleep studies and nerve conduction tests. got my eye on a new boat, after all!

Quote :
"People suffering from cluster or migraine headaches should avoid use of alcohol and tobacco, certain foods, especially the ones containing nitrates (food coloring, processed meats, preservatives), bright and glaring light, stress

Sometimes infection of the frontal sinuses can lead to a dull, throbbing pain between or behind the eyes. It tends to get worse in the mornings and is accompanied with frequent tearing, congestion, runny nose, fever and sensitivity to light. Diving in dirty water, airborne allergies, cold or flu may cause sinus headache.

To eliminate pain behind the eyes, you should reduce inflammation and sinus swelling. Inhaling steam and applying heat over affected area combined with Vitamin C and zinc intake will facilitate the mucus drainage and help to boost immune mechanism to reduce sinus headache.

Other factors that can be the main reason for the headaches behind the eyes are eyestrain and glaucoma. Eyestrain occurs if the eyes are forced to focus on a close object (a newspaper, computer screen) for a long period of time, without focusing periodically at distant objects or due to uncorrected vision problems.

Glaucoma is caused by increased pressure within the eyeball that requires immediate medical attention as it may lead to optic nerve damage and loss of sight. Nowadays glaucoma may be treated by prescription drugs or surgery.

Scheduling an eye exam wouldn't be the worst idea in the world. I try not to take anything for the headache. Probably need to cut back on caffeine and reduce my stress but this will be tough

The ones the last few days have been just enough to make me want to lay around and not do anything. I woke up today without one, so far so good.

I don't think so. I could probably drink more water but still. Doesn't feel like a dehydration headache

I had perpetual headaches, pretty severe, for a few months. Upped my water intake and I get them so much less now
