I've often caught a pocket on a cabinet knob or drawer pull in the kitchen. It can certainly be frustrating.

I ripped the seat of my pants on my Jeep's door latch a couple of years ago on the way to a prom (high school teacher -- gotta chaperone). That was a fun evening, holding the wall up all night.
