Lol hdmi versions... fyi no device on the planet uses Ethernet over hdmi and the qualifications for cable versions are all bogus. Any older hdmi cable that passes a 1.1 qualification will pass any other up to 1.4 provided it has the last Ethernet pin (which does nothing)
Also hdmi is a trademark and you can't legally call a cable by an hdmi spec

Long story short, if you get a '1.4 cable' It won't necessarily perform any better. The problem isn't that your cable isn't 'fast enough' (this shit is a scam to get you to spend more money for <50 feet cables) the problem is that you got a shitty cable that probably has two small of a gauge to run 50 feet. 50 feet seems to be the magic number where if you suddenly have to spend a shit load more money to get something that doesn't suck.
