You know what my favorite part about JNCOs are? The number of pogs you could fit in them pockets!
My mom wouldnt ever buy me jncos. Pretty sure I wore Wrangler and Levis as a kid. 8/15/2012 8:27:34 PM |

Never wore jncos. Nobody in my class wore them.
I was all about some AE, Hollister, and Aeropastale. Never wore A&F though, that stuff was too much $$$

I believe I was stuck with Levi's/bugle boy hand-me-downs (woo, youngest) until I was able to convince mom to buy the sears-brand of carpenter jeans so I would stop getting made fun of for my fucking highwaters (I am several inches taller than my brothers).
Those shitty shears jeans fell apart after a year, but thankfully that meant that I was spared from them as I grew older. 12/6/2014 10:13:39 AM |

Chic jeans, from K-Mart. I hated them.
But I didn't really get to shop anywhere else until I was 8 or 9 years-old, and then I started shopping my little ass off. 2/20/2015 12:06:48 PM |

JC Penney used to sell an off-brand Jnco called Zongs. I think that was right, does anyone remember those?
I had a hunter green pair of Jnco cords that are probably still the most comfortable pants i've ever owned. 2/21/2015 11:29:47 AM |

I have never worn MUDD jeans! I was a women's size 10/12 at age 8. MUDD jeans were only in the juniors department, and they didn't make juniors clothing in my size until I was a grown adult.
My first trip to the mall that I can recall, we went to Limited Too cause that's where all the cool girls at my new public school shopped. I was 9. After trying to cram my tubby ass into every pair of pants in the store, the sales clerk gently guided us into The Limited where we discovered a bunch of clothes that actually fit. I was too stupid to be angry at my mother for putting me through that experience but whatever...
My mother also wouldn't let me wear a bra until I was 9 or so. I was walking around oblivious with my National Geographic boobies jiggling all over. Eventually, my older sister learned the word, "immodest," somewhere and was able to leverage it to get me my first bra.
That trip was also a hilariously awful experience. I was definitely a B/C cup at that point, but my mother was too ashamed to acknowledge she'd let the breast thing go on so long...so she shoved me into an A-cup and made me wear an extender at the back, claiming they "just don't make bras for girls with your shape." Shortly after that, my sister took me to Victoria's Secret to get bras that actually fit...and then I immediately became a materialistic slut. 2/21/2015 3:48:44 PM |
