I don't blame him. I've been to Norfolk at least a dozen times this year, and I have no desire to die an Oregon Trail death by dysentery.

^^ No it does not. It looks disgusting. Baked pizza dough with fried potatoes with incredibly salty tomato sauce and cheese sauce is what is used to induce vomiting in bulimic bitches.

^ Tomato sauce (Pizza sauce) is salty as fuck. So is tomato juice, or really anything that is predominately made up of tomatoes. It's the salty fucking tomato sauce and cheese sauce.

As to the bread, it's not just the bread, it's the fact that you have two carbohydrates on the pizza. Both bread and potatoes are bland, which is why there are a bunch of sauces on it. There's nothing creative about that pizza, and if that's the type of shit he thinks is good, then I'm glad I went out of my way to avoid his place.

What is GB's place called seriously?

I was in Hampton a few weeks ago and had a hell of a time finding a decent restaurant. Tried to go an indian place and wound up 3 miles away at an AMC theater. People from "jewish mother" were about to kidnap us and force us to eat there. Then tried "soul cafe" next to a dance studio called "respect-a-pole." We walked in and they were doing freestyle poetry and we happened to be the only white dudes in there; sat there for 10 minutes without getting service.

Might be going to another conference in Norfolk soon.

btw, mellow mushroom has an excellent red potato pie

1) Actually, it's beanless, all-meat chili I put in place of the tomato sauce.

2) I only put 1 oz of salt into a GALLON of tomato sauce.

3) Tomato sauce is usually described as acidic, not salty.

Yep, I also have an 18.2% called Tokio by Brewdog. It's delicious but it's $18.

Bud, Bud light, yeungling, pbr, coors light and mickeys are $1.50 all the time.
heineken, new castle, blue moon, red stripes are $2.00 all the time.

I have everything in between too

Why pay a 50% mark-up on beer to sit and drink in an empty restaurant when I can get it cheaper from Food Lion?

You may want to talk to our government about that.

There is a tier system set up by the government.

By law, I am only allowed to buy alcohol from the distributor.

A distributor gives me a restaurant price.
A distributor gives a different price to grocery stores.

The price for beer for grocery stores is cheaper than the price for beer for restaurants.

Therefore it's not coincidental that you will always find cheaper prices for drinks at the grocery store than in restaurants.

Sounds like you need a better distributor to help you sell beer to serve to your customers who order a french cry pizza.

[Edited on August 18, 2012 at 5:42 PM. Reason : ^ I'm sure it is the government's fault.]

Went to Pike's Place Market and Peet's Coffee and Tea today.

For the record, I LOVE Peet's. You know a coffee is good when you can start drinking it hot, forget it, go back to it and it still tastes good cold.

Saw the Original Starbucks, too. *yawn

Pike's Place is pretty big. It reminds me a little of the outdoor markets in Seoul.

Back in the hotel right now, as we are all tired.

Genius, you run a pizza place? Which one?

If I recall, you are on the HMJ. If so, my family says thanks for being unable to fix your boat and keeping me out on a nearly four month patrol.
